Dr. T. Michael Knack has been a Licensed Psychologist for over 30 years and has practiced in a variety of clinical and educational settings. He previously worked for many years in private practice where he consulted with physicians, school districts, clergy, DHS, and the Courts. He currently works part-time in private practice.
Dr. Knack provides psychological services with adults, adolescents, and children dealing with a variety of issues including: family adjustment issues, child and adolescent behavioral problems, anxiety, depression, stress, marital problems, communication problems, divorce issues, ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). He also works with individuals on improving self-esteem while reducing negative and self-defeating behaviors. Dr. Knack is skilled in developing Behavioral Intervention Plans for children and adolescents. Dr Knack uses a cognitive-behavioral (CBT) approach with an emphasis on developing personal goals and taking control of one's own life.
Dr. Knack provides psychological evaluations with children, adolescents and adults in areas including: Learning disorders, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Oppositional-Defiant disorder (ODD), Conduct disorders, Adult Personality Disorders and Bariatric pre-surgery evaluations. Dr. Knack is also very familiar with issues related to Section 504 as well as Special Education categories and services.
